You could use a docker container. e.g https://github.com/bbernhard/signal-cli-rest-api (I am the author of REST API wrapper) But I agree with you on that...Java isn't my preferred language either.

The Inkplate 6 works pretty well - I am using it for my digital picture frame. The only disappointing thing for me is, that they haven't released the actual source files (Eagle, Kicad, etc..) for the hardware yet. [1] [1] https:/
