Trash content alway existed. Always. AltaVista was all spam results when Google came on the scene. From where I sit, Google just doesn't care to work on search any more. For example: - pre 2005?, Google search terms were never aliase

Can you remove the tape sealing closed your Amazon shipment with a chainsaw? Maybe, but you'd better be amazingly skilled with that chainsaw or it'll be very frustrating. Youtube video coming soon...

I think a nuclear plant decommissioning was the start of Ontario's problems. I hope yours go better, but each government blamed the prior, yet helpfully fixed nothing. Democracy is the way to go, yet sucks for long term projects. Espe

In Ontario, 6 successive government of all political stripes, one after another did nothing, leaving the grid burning coal and ng. Plants planned and canceled, one mess up after another, again all political parties the same mess. It is inde

Steel is reused, car wreckers strip cars, crush the steel, and off it goes to be made into girders or something. What's more worrying is battery recycling. Toxoc batteries. So far, The West's plan has been to ship them to poor c

One thing. What happens to the power grid, if power needs double? Certainly, new power plant construction, even if green, will be financed by additional cost to the consumer.

Like at the end of Office Space? Desk jobs are fine, but can also be mind sapping horror shows. And who feels justified, working for 1/2 or 1/3rd what most peers are making?

It's the same with many things. Lawyers, doctors, etc. This comes from a long line of trade houses, literally spanning back 1000s of years. Trades have regulated themselves since before governments existed.

I can't imagine any software dev, working for 30k in Canada. That's close to minimum wage in most provinces, even poverty level in many cities.

You don't write networking code, just for kicks and giggles. The new Audacity owners (named elsewhere) are moving in a certain direction. A potentially unpleasant one. We should be doing as this post is, keeping an eye on each strang

I guess it depends where you live. In Canada, more women have University degrees than men. It's been that way for a while. And outside the US, university can cost, but isn't a back breaker. Or it's free. I wonder how much
