I've been working on a fixed chromatic solfege system (MaNePu) for a while as well. It uses a repeating vowel pattern which I find produces some really interesting effects. In MaNePu, the chromatic scale is ma - ne - pu - qa - re - su

This is absurd. Why are people who insist on couching everything in economic terms refusing to believe that new music is a commodity that people demand? People don't need cars with new features, and yet the market exists for it. Loads

This isn't "controversial", it's just a kneejerk contrarian position from an armchair expert. It's actually hard to understate the demand for music production. You walk through any major retail store, they're p

Honestly I've thought about it, but not to save money per se, but because I'm angling to switch my full time gig from software to music, which is far less lucrative. But yeah, I say you should go for it, COVID-19 isn't going

I think this is a pretty valid point—in fact the effect of Spotify's approach to promoting music with this hegemonic quality has been documented pretty well, even resulting in something people call "The Spotify Sound": https

Accelerating to 85mph on a street where that speed is unsafe is absolutely not what a person who misreads the sign would do. 35mph tend to be that way for a reason (residential, stop signs, curved streets)

Great and really cool! A few tiny notes. I had a moment where I deleted all the chords on one line (by hitting backspace repeatedly). When I got to the end, I hit it again thinking it would remove the line, and the whole page went blank. I
