RF stuff is fine without Altium. You can use QUCS for synthesis and just tape out in Kicad. Basically this without the manual steps and better impedance control! https://youtu.be/drwGvATLNaw

DHL takes 2 days to UK. I usually get PCBs snail mail though. I don't mind waiting because I'm a cheap ass. I've got to the point I don't screw up the PCBs now anyway (every time you screw up write something on a checkli

OSHpark boards aren’t that great from experience. Had a couple with mask registration issues and the silk screen and edge cuts are terrible. They’re also slow and expensive. I’ve switched entirely to JLCPCB now which seems to have none of t

I was served by a blind person in the Apple Store this year who was using an iPhone as an aid. Absolutely amazing.

It's pushing the boundaries of a spreadsheet's practical usability to be honest. I would not use it for more than a few hundred at most. In fact I just checked my largest sheet is 292 rows. Anything larger goes in anything else! U

What makes you think I give a crap what they care about? This is about what I care about and choose to participate in. I choose to not take the ketchup and not go in McDonald’s. And my life is better for it. Actually I like a McPlant and

Ah yeah. Place an order, find out an hour later only 75% of it is actually in stock. The 75% comes in 5 boxes from various locations at random times over the next week. At least it's not CPC. They sent me an empty box once.

I’m with zen. This lines up with my experience. Time to move to AA. Except farnell.com which is shit everywhere because their entire platform is a turd.

I use a chunk of those. They work absolutely fine on WSL2. My windows machine can quite happily pull shit out of Excel files, into R/Python stack on Linux and squirt them back out into SQL Server with no real cohesion issues. Also I mo

Have you tried to drag your shit through .Net classic to .Net core via all the stack changes and direction changes? Hell no. It has been horrible.

Yeah this. It's horrible. We have one which was built ages ago. It falls to bits on high DPI displays suddenly as of Windows 11. No one knows why, even at Microsoft. It's being replaced with some pile of shit in Electron instead.

MVC is fine. The THICK stacks they build are the problem. Web Forms and Silverlight for example. This is just another one of those balls of muddy complexity which will turn into a bad idea which will require a complete front end rewrite of

Yeah, um, I was there for Silverlight and Web Forms. Also your last point is quite frankly crack smoking. You can still dump out perfectly good dynamic content with Razor and MVC.

I wouldn't build a business on that. Microsoft's track record of keeping front end tech alive and attention on it is pretty fucking low. On a positive note I bought my house with the money earned by their lack of attention.
