Worth noting this isn't an absolute position. There are many Gazans posting on Telegram. They have food, water and internet access. But they seem to be the ones shooting at Israel and other Gazans... Edit: suspiciously this is downvote

Hamas statements have said it's about killing Jews and it being the moral duty of Palestinians to do that and sacrifice their children to the cause. It's religious in at least one direction. It was about land once. I suspect, to t

Very much this. What they write in English is completely different to their main audience and internal audience. There's enough information out there to back this up. Go and do some research with this in mind and formulate your own con

I had a Fenix (can't remember which one) that would crash with specific GPX files were used. Also wouldn't talk to anything other than windows occasionally. I think someone else reported the latter as well.

Spent ages and wasted lots of money on trying to make this work. Buy an iPhone and an Apple Watch or go without was the conclusion. Everything else is absolute fucking garbage. Even the Garmin stuff is problematic. I had a Garmin watch crap

Well it's not about freedom of speech. It's freedom to tell lies publicly and not be held accountable for it by confusing what class of entity is making the speech. This is just covered by freedom of speech legislation. Telsa is a

Perhaps a more balanced view is worth considering. It's a dirty business on both sides of this fence. Firstly It's pretty obvious that the UK government has a number of serious national security problems at the moment. I would a

Mine didn’t. LaserJet Pro M148dw. If it did it would have been sent back.

They are. HP’s measurement division was spun off into Agilent. Then off to Keysight. They are absolute bastards now and a shadow of their former self. But they still sell the 3458A

Keysight still sell those. But yes that. I have a fair bit of HP test gear lying around dating from 60s to 90s. And a few RPN calculators!

Well said. Twisted partisanism. I’m the middle ground. It all sucks in one way or another but we’re generally trying to our best.

Had three major cluster collapses. Elections that never worked out. Weird state inconsistency problems. I don’t sleep well any more. Never entrust consistent state to things based on arguments and opinions.

I just scanned it. It's not an MVP for some product they want to attract investors. It's a tool. Which has documentation written by someone who wrote it. I hope this one is not rude too: are you sure you're just not afraid of

When the only tool you have is a hammer, everything is a nail. It depends on your requirements. I still produce actual native GUIs for tools I write. They're faster, require less futzing to service, generally continue working for years

This aligns with my findings over the years. The more over invested I am in something the quicker productivity grinds to a halt. Mostly because I enthusiastically cornered myself and end up creating more problems than I’m solving. Apathetic

As much as I appreciate open source forks of things like this I’d rather just completely avoid vault if I can. This and consul are bits of software that make my life harder not better in the last few years.

This happened in the UK when some of the large industrial companies shut down. British Aerospace in Hatfield was a fine example. It destroyed the whole area for the best part of 20 years.

They're really easy to get off. I've done at least 5 now. Just get one of the microwaveable heat packs and use it to soften up the adhesive, then work round it with a spudger and clean it up afterwards.

RIP. That's an interesting phone death. I actually killed a Nokia 6303 because the alarm went off and it vibrated off the window sill into a large pan of potatoes I'd just boiled. You just never know what is going to happen.

It classifies as submersion when the case is saturated. Also with these things you never buy at the line. You get something that's a couple of ratings higher than what you expect. That allows some margin for error and uncertainty.

It's so polarising because it creates poorly defined ideologues that don't exist in reality. It's a giant straw man. And what is left is held together with bits of sticky tape and string. It's just bad. In Rand's wo
