I avoid using them, except when having to expose a component to a third party, if they _really_ want the ergonomics of using WCs. Then I'd use something like https://github.com/preactjs/preact-custom-element , htt

Tried Lit and StencilJS. They are both forcing the usage of custom events to dispatch functions and share data between components. It's horribly unergonomic. Using the DOM with event bubbling and capturing feels really bad. Orchestrati

MacOS also has shitty rendering on sub-200 DPI since Mojave, as they did the same thing — kill off subpixel antialiasing: https://twitter.com/tapbot_paul/status/1004361530018852864

No. 70 as I'm looking at post-WW2. The US were still the good guys in WW2. Same reason why I'm not mentioning Nazi Germany. Although one can say that the US stopped being the good guys when they nuked Japan.

The US has killed a whole lot more people and committed a whole lot more war crimes and crimes against humanity than the USSR did in the past 70 years. Possibly more than any other country in the world.

The article almost exclusively talks about the US. One reason that isn't mentioned in the article is because the US is fundamentally based on puritanism and a lot of its values, especially concerning passion and sexuality are still pre

Absolutely agreed. If we're going to be hyperbolic, the web itself is an attack vector. Better stay disconnected.

Adguard works well since it's the only one which does cosmetic filtering and injects JS into requests that counters anti-adblock behaviour. Everything else is a simple DNS filter.

I absolutely love uBlock Origin. I have recently switched to AdGuard as a system-wide blocker on all my devices since uBlock will be unusable on Chromium browsers due to them blocking MV2 extensions in 2023. While still a good product, the

Exactly. The aspect-ratio property works the same way as the padding hack does. It calculates the height based on the rendered width. You can't do it the other way around, even if using a different axis inside a flex or grid element. Y

Not really. It's still tied to the element's width and will overflow vertically. Even if using a flex/grid container with a different axis, it will only constraint the aspect ratio to its width. Which means that if you want t

Yep. And I love how they add in broken behaviour for things like still not being able to properly scroll elements which have `position: fixed`. Or trying to make the page have a static fixed height while scrolling.

Bluetooth audio is a mess with no way out. I really think that Apple is going to just drop Bluetooth audio at some point and make their own protocol, with Bluetooth perhaps being the "green bubble" fallback option.
