I use .env files and have a small bash script to load them into env for dev, or load them into a k8s configmap for deployment.

Fwiw, I dipped my toes into AI assisted coding a few weeks ago and started with cursor. Was very unimpressed (spent more time prompting and fight the tool than making forward progress) until I tried Claude code. Happily dropped cursor immed

Apparently we are in the minority, but I find hooks great for DRY and composition. My components can be thin and presentational while the business logic is tucked away in neat little packages. Didn't realize how much I disliked class c

I need to try this - started using Claude code a few days ago and have been struggling to get good implementations with some high-complexity refactors. It keeps over engineering and creating more problems than it solves. It's getting c

IIUC, CoT is "incorporated" into training by just providing better quality training data which steers the model towards "thinking" more deeply in its responses. But at the end of the day, it's still just regular pre

Nope, we would have sent in strike teams, special ops, etc to get the hostages out BEFORE leveling the place. Anything different would face massive opposition and carry a political death sentence for whoever gave the order.

Just HN for me as well. Used to visit slashdot before it turned to crap. Got off FB over a decade ago, no other SM accounts.

Is it the phone or is it the internet you're lamenting? Sounds like the latter. I think TFA misattributes this as well.
