We made many attempts to communicate and solve these issues long before it was made public. They were asked to contribute back, either in cash or in people hours and they refused.

Both Texts and Beeper are in active development while we work hard behind the scenes to combine the best parts of both under the Beeper brand. So we'll only have Beeper on every platform.

Both of our apps are cross-platform. Both Texts and Beeper are available on Windows, Linux, and macOS. Texts for iOS is in public beta, you can join the TestFlight: https://texts.com/install/ios

I agree that open source is very important — it’s one of the core values here at Automattic, where we have a long track record of open sourcing our products and vast majority of what we make is already open source. Texts connects directly t

It's sad to see how Apple behaved here. Kudos to Beeper for fighting the fight, their entire team spent sleepless nights to find solution after solution. Although personally I thought Apple wouldn't try to block them because it mi

I’m one of the authors of the blog post you linked — Beeper Mini is entirely different. There is a great blog post by JJTech (author of the pypush library, tech Beeper Mini is based on) also on the front page right now: https://

iOS app is in alpha, it's being internally tested right now. In the first version of iOS, I don't think we'll be supporting iMessage. Texts runs on your device and not our servers (this is how E2EE is properly supported for e

That's probably a BDDK (regulatory body for banks) issue. Good thing is you can actually use Apple Pay, I use my Watch to pay for stuff all the time. You have to have a foreign bank account that supports it, I use Wise since it allows
