This is a horrible article, it's just several people who have no studies nor credentials to backup their guesses. It has zero training as to why, it's literally an appeal to authority, but the authority here has zero credibility.

> $2 million in reimbursement for work-related expenses. Huh? I don't even get reimbursed for using my personal phone and this joker gets 2 million bucks to play with?

You can still do simple stuff, it's not hard: just don't use the complex garbage :) I wrote a web app the other day with vanilla Python, it doesn't do much (it's a tasks app for my wife and I), but it does it's job,

I had a professor that printed in like 3 colors, and each exam had a different code on it, like 'X3-67' so we thought he made several versions (of course it was graduate math and he told us we would all get an A in we showed up an

Grades are useless in the face of cheating, so just tell everyone they'll get to choose their own grade at the end, then they'll focus on learning and even if everyone chooses an A, who cares? Does the A mean anything today? I

Using ; as a hyper key blew my mind, like the article recently about how a certain developer calls all of his scripts ',something' so if he want to run a cli command of his, pressing comma then tab will show only his scripts, so &

It's such a cool idea, imagine a webfont that changes slightly each page load. I could make a document that slowly became more illegible after each new visitor, just for fun!

The new "software engineer" is just a software assembly line worker. I guess the same goes for other engineers. I would imagine the quality of software engineer will get worse over time as it becomes easier to assemble software fr

I recall you had 'a font one' in the works, but I can't find anything about it now, is that still coming? The demo is really neat in the header image!

It's sad you even had to ask, don't be sad yourself, and your contribution to the conversion taught me several important things I didn't know before about this area, so thanks a bunch!

Well, I'd rather get laid off over zoom than email, also, I was laid off in 3 minutes in-person. Is that better? I would have preferred they just called me that morning so i could have stayed home. Maybe that's just me. It sucks t

Cool idea, it's sometimes hard to use the standard history when I come back to an old project to build or run it with all the crazy build commands I have to do these days.

But why change it then? If the article has no connection, then the people complaining are the issue, they should fix themselves, it's not the author's job to cater to that.

"PET" isn't jargon, it's a designation/name, much like "relational database" or "Phoenix framework". It's a name and type of a plastic, and to replace it with "plastic" alone makes

Patent applications are really specific in the required style and content. I don't know the specific requirements for drawings, but this is the common style there.

Then do that, because it might be a bug or even intended, but there's no proof in this post, there's not even context from which we ourselves could investigate. If that's actually happening and you didn't accidentally ty

No, they do it in a fair way, I believe if you read the page it will tell you how they fairly measure performance between the forges. Edit: see "Expand for details on methodology" right at the top of the page.
