My suspicion is that they're not useful at all. Once I bought such a cooler pad, and placed a 2011 13" MacBook on it. Then I benchmarked it (i.e. max out the CPU), and measured the sensor "CPU Near". I could not measure

I think I'm with you here. I've had 16 gigs for the last 8 years. I thought about getting 32, but I haven't noticed needing more memory and it does use (battery) energy so I decided against it.

Very cool! I didn't know about OpenType either, looks like a very fun exercise in drawing.

About your first point, I've had people open issues on one of my Github projects, asking for new features. I then politely replied "I currently don't do free support for this project. If you have a budget, then I can make tim

Yeah, you're right. It's my habit, and it's required for the zap subcommand, but it's no longer necessary for install.

I didn't know about this software. Install and try the trial version with: $ brew cask install kaleidoscope

Great how you figured out what the problem was. Very well written, due to the tables that show which records get resolved in which sequence, by which DNS server.

You say Android 10, but is it "Google-blessed", meaning does it include the full range of Google apps? That wasn't always the case; I remember Onyx Boox tablets from a few years back that included Chrome but it wouldn't

Have a look at Crossover Office: https://www.codeweavers.com/crossover#linux It's a commercial Wine version. I've used it successfully for many years when I ran Linux on the desktop.

Why do you call it like that? I mean, does it compare bad enough to other font libraries that you feel justified in summarizing it as "an endless shitshow"?

Upvote for the Chuck Norris joke. But in all seriousness, very useful. If I understand correctly, this can be used to put all your home-made shell scripts on Github, and then install them on all your Macs using Homebrew. That's really

AnyDesk is similar to TeamViewer, and I believe set up by engineers that previously worked at TeamViewer. The free version is not using advertisements, just limited in features. I like it a lot.

Why would you leave a server running that long? Is that best practice? I'm by no means a sysadmin but I do monthly scheduled reboots, because on monthly reboots you test that reboot gets you a running server that correctly comes back,

You can still do that, though. Most countries have multiple scientific institutes aimed at defense, climate or space research. For the US, orgs like NOAA and NASA need engineers. For Europe, there's all the national institutes like DLR
