I've tried the new design (using flags in about:config) and none of my plugins broke. I'm running Facebook Container, Midnight Lizard, No Thanks, a Medium extension and uBlock Origin. Have you actually tried it yourself? If not, w

Indeed, not mechanical. The only thing it has in common with the article is that it’s split.

I also appreciate how the microcontrollers are not on the bottom, and clearly visible. It's pretty and it probably makes for a flatter keyboard. There's a logo on there. I wonder if it's a sticker, or a custom package or some

You can always get something mass-produced from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Kinesis-Freestyle2-Keyboard-Standard-... I've built my own keyboard but turns out I'm quite happy with the above Kinesis Freestyle.

Taking notes (with the Pencil), for both business (keeping notes during meetings) and spare time (sketching home improvement, bad poetry). Reading, although I also have an e-reader. Watching Twitch. Playing music from YouTube while cooking.

These are much smaller than an ex-corporate small desktop, right? My Intel NUC can easily be mounted behind my monitor. And although this Gigabyte product may be more expensive, the NUC its price range starts around 150 for Celeron based mo

No, perhaps my wording was unclear. It's an on-demand thing. The kid complains about itchiness, I give her a pill.

I've got a weird case here in The Netherlands about mebendazole. These are pills that kill intestinal parasites, which is important for my child who is at the age where they touch everything and anything, and then suck their thumb. Meb

Whenever you change a setting, look up the corresponding “defaults write” command. Put them into a script. Then run that whenever you got a new machine.

A topic near and dear to my heart. Our shared office has a balcony and I spotted two crows some weeks ago. I've been feeding them every morning, calling them Hugin and Munin :)

Amethyst is pretty good and keyboard driven. But note that under Linux, I never used a tiling WM, so I can't compare. https://github.com/ianyh/Amethyst

I switched from Linux to macOS when I moved from Python/C++ to iOS development. I felt the change wasn’t all that big. I got my Firefox, terminal, homebrew replaced apt, etc. All the command line tools are there. Under Linux, I just us

Try compiling stuff. There's definitely a difference in speed when I use Xcode on the 15" 2016 MBP, or the 16" 2019 MBP. It's got an additional four cores, and it's noticeable to me.

Upvote for mentioning Jeff Vogel. His blog is here: https://jeff-vogel.blogspot.com/ He doesn't post often, but when he does, it's a great one about indie game development.
