I think it would be interesting to ask a candidate what question they normally ask when they conduct interviews, and have them to walk through the problem. Has anyone here tried that or heard of that being done? I think you could potentia

I’ve heard a sentiment from people that it’s ok to drink lots of bottle water, use plastic utensils, etc. because they can be recycled. Plastic won. Try to tell people that they’re wasting their time trying to recycle and they’ll freak out.

BLS data is going to look crazy. Surely, there’ll be a jobs report where unemployment jumps from <4% to >10%. And then in a few months, it’ll jump back down again.

You should keep in mind the key difference between your offering run of the mill MOOCs--you're students have to complete your course if they want to maintain their GPAs and graduate. This should substantially change how you teach your

I’m reading the book right now. I see people here are having the same misconception about his message that I did before starting it. It’s not “don’t specialize in your career.” It’s more like “don’t specialize in your life.” Good generalist

The whole idea of colonizing other parts of the solar system just seems like a fool’s errand to me. Colonizing Antarctica or even the bottom of the oceans seems like a more practical endeavor to me. As uninhabitable as Antarctica is, just

I think “problem solving” questions are pretty much useless. Engineers need to solve problems, but they don’t have to do it in under an hour and under stress. Plus, solving tricky problems is not something you do everyday, or maybe even eve
