If I'm Apple, I just open the gates. I would be very surprised if they lose much "business" as a result, at least not for a very long time. I'd suspect most users aren't going to venture outside the garden.

Rehoboam from Westworld is the first thing that comes to mind when I hear "supercomputer" now. What a terrible last season the show got!

I don't intend to dispute your stance here, but I am interested in understanding a bit more about it. Do you mind giving an example and what the alternative(s) are?

I second this, but Discover is a very close second. I've been a very happy Amex user for better part of a decade now.

Safari was an early adopter of JPEG XL. In the past couple years, actually, the team at Apple responsible for Safari has been making inroads on features and spec work. Jen Simmons especially has been astounding, particularly with her engage

I wonder if a company like Anker will be able to release anything sooner rather than later to help extend device use on battery.

For all its issues, I wouldn’t say iCloud syncing is one of them for Safari. I’ve had nothing but a good experience over the past couple years when it comes to syncing tabs, bookmarks and passwords.

Then you have market fatigue for the user. After living in a world of Twitter where you can consume all the things you desire and discuss all those things in the same setting, very few people want to be jumping from app-to-app, website-to-w

I'm a huge NFL fan, and Threads has already replaced X for NFL (and MLS) news for me. My team's beat writers have all already moved over to Threads.

I've been a pretty frequent user since launch. It's really taken off in the past month or so, with news and sports. The NBA has replaced a lot of its court-side Twitter/X branding with Threads. There's also a very strong

What do financial institutions where you live use to communicate TOTP codes? Here in the states, it's almost entirely TOTP codes over SMS (via a shortcode).

I don't know if I have ever received an iMessage spam, and I have 6 addresses associated (5 emails, 1 phone number). SMS I get spam almost daily.

This is my biggest knock against Ubiquiti at the moment. They have no real solutions in the 2.5GbE/10GbE market.

I gave Orion a serious try a few weeks ago, and it was very promising. But I ended up having to abandon it due to 1Password not working. I'll likely revisit it soon, when there's hopefully been some more fixes and improvements.
