This moment is akin to Microsoft creating a free antivirus (security essentials or something) for Windows users. An acknowledgement that a real problem exists. But good that google took a step before this was blown out of proportions.

Interesting how some sites create a news out of a statistical blip and present it with a sesational headline. All or clicks and pageviews...

kinect is highly discounted by most retailers around the year. Though the xbox kinect sells for 149, many places sell it for 99. So you can wait for a few months and hopefully this will get cheaper too

This is bound to happen. Microsoft is an aging giant though it still has some of the best minds in the industry. One concern I always have hiring from such old guard companies is that the people who have worked there for long, have skills t

Agree. Its surprising how much Google can get by without providing any customer support at all. I stopped using my gmail accounts earlier this year when I lost my I emails and google couldn't track them down.

IE 9 is actually a great little browser on the Mnago version of the OS. What doesn't work on IE9 for you? Which website that you regularly visit on your mobile?

It may not be a common word but the fact that it has such a negavtive meaning is not good for the brand particularly if its a name for the whole lineup and not just one device.

Forget webOS even Windows Phone OS itself is way ahead of androind and even iOS in terms of usability. But you are right. People have ignored it so far. All they want is android or iOS.

I watched build a little bit but never got an impression that Microsoft was ever pushing metro as a ui standard for desktop apps. It was always menat to be for tablet and other mobile apps. If you don't see anybody starting a metro looking

I think its the former. Whether Microsoft's efforts pay off or not is yet to be seen as the OS is not even in Beta yet.

Windows phone unfortunately has become the "Zune" of MP3 players. It was better than iPod, the software was killer. The Zune pass was more conveniet than clunky old itunes but nobody cared. The brand associated with it was not cool and henc

Thats not the point. Its Microsoft. Why do you think they care if you run any operating system other than theirs? The point of the website. is: If you are running windows, see how safe your browser is.

Can't blame Google if they are trying to be publicly mourful and trying to get mileage out of it. Tow birds in one stone: time to fix those last bugs and also get good press for the delay. Well played.
