Actually I don't think people have been talking to their phones (voice command) as much even though the feature has been available for the longest time. One reason could be that the feature was very poorly implemented. What these features l

No matter how well it is implemented, talking to your phone in public or even when somebody else around just sounds too geekily awkward.

Agree. It beats me why Google has continued to pour so much money in Android with apparently no business plan to recover that. Apple has a completely different business model that lets them recover their investments. But with Androind being

Hmmm just like the "bug" in the data collection software in Google's streetview cars.

Given that Google releases while most of its products are still in "beta". That seems very likely.

The "split browser" is not something new though. Microsoft had deepfish, Opera does that for its mobile browser I think. How do they address these concerns?

Its one of the bnefits as well as perils of open source. And it will benefit the platform as a whole. Amazon cannot afford to move too far away from the core android that is developed by Google as it will otherwise lose all the new apps and

Unless they think that their freeloading of android is limiting them in some ways. Currently it seems like a good deal for amazon to get android for free. Don't know what they will gain by buying a new platform.

Exactly. I don't get why Amazon would buy a new OS when it can get an existing well supported well publicized and we ll maintained OS for free. Currently they are freeloading on android which is a great thing to get all the android benefits

I didn't even know Microsoft had an antivirus. If it is flagging chrome as a virus then I am guessing its prbably giving other viruses a free ride :)

Hope the same logic is applied for terms like app. Too generic for it to be trademarked.

Only goes to show how strong a control Google has over the Internet. It is virtually impossible to havea popular website these days with google not having insight into the usage of the sight.

Most of that 30%was bought. Organic growth is incredibly slow. Google has an incredible stringhold on this market and more so on the mobile.

Microsoft seems to have learnt a lot since the lat update. NoDo update took a bit longer to be delivered. Mango seems much better planned. Good to see Microsoft learning from past experiences. It's a great thing for users and developers ali

By not allowing legacy apps on ARM microsoft would not have any leverage in the tablet space. If I have a choice between iOS and Windows ARM where the former had a ton of apps and latter doesn't have many, then why would ?I choose windows?

I don't get this. Google is in this to make money. They are not running some kind of a foundation where people contribute and together they make software. Google has all the right to hold the code back and only share it with the partners th

He is so naive to believe that a dry subjet like a patent lawsuit can actually distract people from a juicy news of an expected successor to the most successful phone model in US? And that too from one of the most beloved company in the gad

Exactly. As a user I don't see myself getting any benefits out of this but taking the risk or storing my transactions and shopping history at yet another place and leaving it vulnerable for hackers to exploit. What is the value add here?

Also I don't get the creating of a new brand altogether. Netflix is a popular brand and a household name. Who knows qwikster? Looks indicative of a future split up of the company to me.

The other thing to realize is that you don't stay on the home screen for long. You see if there are any inrestesting notifications and then move on to what you want to do.

Actually Windows phone lock is screen is very similar to the windows 8 lock screen as well. I didn't see it in the video but the windows phone lock screen jumps up a little bit hinting that it needs to be pulled up to unlock. Very intuitive

Being a pre-beta version this could be a limitation of this build. But nevertheless, Steve jobs has already talked about the problem with flash performance/power consumption.
