Nice idea (and having written an IMAP service, ugh, the spec is so bad...) But, remember: they have zero incentive for you to use a mail client. They WANT you use the web client, so they can sell you for advertising.

Sure, it does. But they're also overwhelmingly crappy for most "normal" folks: pixelated, blurry, poorly cropped.

But that's looking at the big picture... something that clearly, the powers that be at big companies no longer do.

Exactly. It'd be one thing if instagram was a popular independent service. But they're not. Let's not forget who their big brother is, peering over their shoulder.

Oooh. That would be a good test. Similar to the above comment, our guy has a number of toys and can distinguish by name. Totally going to the pet store this weekend to see if we can try that out.

I was squatting in the office hermine and her crew were in while some of this was filming, and it was absolutely fascinating to peer over the shoulder of the director and P/A's, and see just how much of this was scripted and the various re-

These ones? No. These are ridiculous, (really) ugly, and pretty limited. But make no mistake, this is absolutely the future.

> better to solve that problem than piss around with a half built page in my experience. Seconded. This can cause far more bugs and timing problems than it's worth. Find out what's taking so long to fire, and fix (or defer) that.

Make kevin cringe less by calling him a "graphic designer". That extra "s" makes them die inside. :) Also, nice job, kevin.

Didn't the 300 from sprint come with a bunch of crap apps (i.e. NFL mobile or whatever) installed on it? I also had a Treo 300 (and a 180, a 600, and 750p)--so I maybe be confusing this with one of the later ones. The apps were easy enough

Youtube handles it via whack-a-mole. A friend of mine used to work in their community dept, and would tell horror stories about the things she'd see people put up.
