And I was thinking 1% was too generous. My guess would be more like .01% to convert.

I'm with you. Let's discuss architecture of the last app I built in detail, with the how's and why's. Ask me questions on it, rather than just letting me brush through it. Let's talk about the most challenging bit of code I wrote at the las

While it's an interesting post (and in general I completely agree with the notion of hubris v. humility), I think the author chose a couple of bad examples. TiVo vs. Blackberry is a complete apples to oranges comparison. Forget that one is

Whoa. I'm surprised by John's rather dickish reply to this in the comments. He totally could have (should have) taken the high road and recognized the lacking of good typography controls. And pointed out that this was just a tech demo and A

As others have mentioned, this really only works if you have a simple (and solid) deploy and rollback practice. Most people don't. Given that, all it takes is one terrible deploy: shit goes way south and you're down for most of the day. Now

Given that apple is in a much different place now then it was during the PowerPC days, maybe this isn't such a terrible idea. (And PPC wasn't apple so much as moto/ibm). They're proving it works right now with the A4... so maybe you're righ

Certainly interesting idea, but the article is way to heavy on the conjecture, with little to no facts at all. It's great that the subject feels better--but it seems like a real stretch to me that it's all about the porn. What else are they

I think this is much more likely. I'm sure he's doing well , but it also sounds like he's a real automotive enthusiast. While $350-500k sounds absurd for a "car", if it is his dream, with how well they've done, and his fees on speaking eng

While I think it's awesome to have friends in high places, and I wish these guys the best, it reminds me just how miserable it was to work on the FB platform. Their milquetoast, ever-changing policy that's occasionally enforced and frequent
