Wasn't there a Linux distro that was trying to look and feel almost exactly like Windows XP? I'm sure it's not perfect but it'd be worth a shot if you were so used to XP. EDIT: Found it - https://zorin.com

I believe they tried Lubuntu, which uses LXDE and in my experience was almost too fast so I'm curious as to why the author found it slow.

It's sites like these that make me dearly miss the old internet. Then I remember that the old internet is mostly still there, just buried under the ad-riddled mass-produced garbage pile of the current internet, and there are ways to di

I got that once in Unreal Tournament, but only because someone on the server didn't understand what relics were (items that gave you buffs of some kind). Still felt good, though.

I'm in the same boat - bought the iPhone SE 2016 4 years ago for the form factor, haven't seen anything similar since. I haven't had many compatibility issues though I'm sure that's likely to change. There was a pag

Regarding the device in question (iPhone SE 2016) Apple are still releasing security updates for iOS 15. Not forever though, of course.

I'm sorry that happened to you. I hope someone has told this to you already but - please don't blame yourself. It obviously wasn't your intention to have a psychotic break. I hope you have the support to stay happy and health

About 8 years ago I created a GIMP plugin to read Terry Davis' (creator of TempleOS) custom image files to convert them to bitmaps, and vice-versa. I didn't know anything about the .bmp file format, or how to create a GIMP plugin.

I suggest going to boardgame meetups to try games before you buy. I also recommend the second-hand game market to both buy games cheaper and sell on games that you don't want anymore, keeping costs low. I fine-tuned my collection in th

I feel like they've tried to add bike lanes, but there's generally a lot more hills to climb in the inner city, and the culture is more anti-cyclist. I moved to Melbourne a few years ago and the infrastructure, elevation and cultu

Season 1 was probably the best co-op gaming experience i ever had. Season 2 got a bit convoluted mechanically and felt less smooth design wise. But it was fun. About to play Season 0, we're excited for it.

Reminds me of a similar story of someone creating a Tron lightcycle game on an Apple IIgs. They had created a bug so that the lightcycle could travel off-screen and into memory, causing all sorts of undefined behaviour. https://b
