Vegetarian - just stopped eating meat one day to see if I could keep it up. (The reason being that I had already been thinking for a while how gross it actually was to eat animal corpses, and that I'd also rather be alive than dead, so

I can second this sentiment somewhat. I've got a different background than you, but I still feel the same a lot of the time, since the "less successful" people don't speak up that much and with all the side projects peop

Really cool demo! I just have to ask if someone knows: Is there any benefit to doing this in WebGL? Does that enable you to use the GPU for other calculations than the graphical ones? (I really don't know anything about GPUs, so sorry

I think I'd have to move away from the concept of using polygons for such an approach - I had thought about just using a simple 2d projection of a 3d path, but I'd obviously run into quite a few problems regarding occlusion and a

I've always wondered if this kind of art style for 3d were possible without the use of shaders, just with a custom 3d engine in place... I'd love to recreate something like this in a 2d canvas.

I can only second that - you'll learn so much on the way, though it's easy to get lost in the details, if you're doing most of the work yourself. Just start with something dead simple and then build from that - you might ma

I really like Fleury's algorithm[0] - I used it to generate more efficient paths to draw on a canvas, for the purpose of displaying simple wireframe models. It may not be the most efficient, but I really like the simplicity. [0] http:

The css3 3d-transform is pretty damn cool, honestly! And the effects when opening the book remind me of issuu, but it feels really nice and clean to me. I guess I'd read on if I had the time right now - might try it from my phone later
