This is pretty much exactly what I've been looking for - if it eliminates all the messing around with various C libraries and compiling on different systems, I'm totally gonna try this!

Honestly, that makes sense - doing multiline replaces with sed isn't very convenient (I believe it's possible if you replace newlines with NULL). I guess I'll probably learn awk then, it can't be that hard with the examp

I'm wondering: Does awk really provide that more value over sed while being easier or faster to use than a fully-fledged scripting language (thinking of perl, python, etc).? (and yes, one may argue that awk IS a scripting language, I&#

In this case it seems it's some sort of DoF-Effect, since the lines between the objects seem to blur too.

Maybe you wanna overengineer in some html "compression" (stripping out whitespace, I mean) and cache the result? :P It's fun (not that your site needs it, it easily loads fast enough) Also, nice style - what were your inspira

this. Macros are something I've never used in other editors, but in vim they're simply... fun to use. Well, if used for the right purpose.

Maybe you're looking for visual block mode?[0] Or the multi-cursor plugin[1]? I haven't tried the latter, ut I really like visual block mode for certain things. It's amazing how much new stuff I learn about vim every day... A

There's a bunch of things you could try, btw: First off, vim has a GUI version where you can use the mouse (and in some terminal emulators you can too - for example st[0]) Secondly, did you try using splits (horizontal and vertical is

I've never even read that book, but I probably should. As it's described in the article, I see many parallels with today's anonymised internet culture - we can be someone else, someone who doesn't have to fear any conseq

I'm wondering if Terry Davis is aware of the potential double-entendre (HolyJit->HolyShit)? which was probably the reason this name was chosen for the mozilla project. Holy jit, that JS is running quickly. (Is it fast in that case?

I'm not sure as to what is fundamentally different about this JIT-compiler (except for the awesome name of course) Is it basically just a Rust rewrite which also tries to reduce the complexity of their current just-in-time compiler? Ed

I can answer you #2: requestAnimationFrame schedules the rendering to when the screen refreshes, which kinda makes sense in this case. (Which is a great thing when you're doing animations or games, since no frames are being dropped) I

Okay, depending on the complexity of your app, maybe bundling it with webkit[0] is a solution? You'll need to know about cross-compilation in C though. It's certainly more complicated than just using Electron, but if you don'
