Now I wonder if there's a js library which makes a textfield behave like VIM... Guess I'll need to look at the source here later on to find out.

- saamm 9y agoClosest thing I can think of is CodeMirror: https://codemirror.net/demo/vim.html https://codemirror.net/demo/vim.html
- woodrowbarlow 9y agosince this site doesn't let you experiment, i'd guess they didn't actually emulate vim. it's little more than a slide deck triggered by specific keypresses.
- bananicorn 9y agoMakes sense, vim emulation seems a bit overkill for this^^
- yasserkaddour 9y agoI know that ace editor[1] has key biding for vim. The chrome plugin SurfingKeys[2] use it internally. [1] https://ace.c9.io/ https://ace.c9.io/ [2] https://github.com/brookhong/Surfingkeys https://github.com/brookhong/Surfingkeys
- sfifs 9y agoActually I've always wanted Microsoft Office and Outlook editors to behave like vim
