Yes, that was my point--when the author said spatial audio was not bluetooth compatible, they were likely confusing that of Lossless HD Audio.

> No idea where the author got the information they wouldn't. Being misinformed. Apple Lossless HD Audio, which was recently announced, is not currently supported by wireless (read: bluetooth) headphones.

I believe most major US professional sports have players unions, which provides minimum salaries that are livable. Though I recall ~20 years ago that MLB players on league minimums (~70k/yr) were able to collect state unemployment bene

There was a part in the article about cyber criminal gangs having a steady stream of cheap programmers. Presumably there in cities with "drug problems", there are also a steady stream of relatively young kids with limited options,

> The idea that you run into a problem and use Google to solve it hardly constitutes skill development. Until you come across people who can't even do that. I'm unsure of your age, but I was a developer before Google was a thin

This reminds me of the story in Freakanomics about the street level drug dealers making basically minimum wage, with the majority of the money going to high level traffickers who are typically firewalled through layers of middlemen.

A $40,000 EV that you only need for 1/2 the year makes terrible financial sense.

I can see that view point. I don't share it, as custom ECM tunes that increase performance (with the same "hardware") have been around for a very long time. Also things like OnStar, and SirisXM Along a similar vein--Nvidia ar

Why not avoid a car all together, and invest the ~$50,000 then? Even though VW's solution may be cheaper for many, the way it's being portrayed feels more scammy.

At 8.50/hr, that gives you about ~53,000 miles of autonomous range for the same price as Tesla's add-on price for "full self driving ($10k surcharge). To me, an upfront $10,000 surcharge seems less scammy than what VW is offe

That isn't entirely true. There are instances where there is bona fide qualification for being a specific gender. It's not common, but does exist. Megan Fox will not likely win a lawsuit alleging discrimination based on EEO Law if

If I were to attend job fairs at a number of top Chinese Universities, with headcount to hire 10 students, would I be in violation of EEO Law? What if I had 2 head count, and I first posted to an internal job board before posting to our pub

I don't have all the facts, but this article [1] seems to refute your accounting. The memo was initially sent to Diversity Training, then after a non-response, Damore himself circulated to a wider internal audience. According to Google

I think the point being made was Damore's email was sent using company resources, while employed by the company, presumably on company time. Bobb's blog post was from 2007.
