It makes perfect sense for Laravel specifically, because both the framework itself and the entire ecosystem around it are aimed at the kind of developer who just wants to ship the minimum viable product as fast as humanly possible, without

Twitch only stores Past Broadcasts for 2 months before they're automatically deleted. If you want to keep them past the 2 months, you have to convert them into Highlights, which are affected. So yes, this will absolutely affect the spe

It's absolutely true that the nginx config has some really obtuse features, "if" probably being the best example. But just because they're there doesn't mean you have to use them, and the documentation for "if&

Literally any remote storage you can imagine works. I've personally used Hetzner storage boxes and they work fine, and their price is very good (though still not as good as Backblaze Backup if you have double digit TBs like me)

Restic is my personal favorite for straightforward file backups. It's simple and well-designed, integrates with rclone meaning it supports any file transfer protocol or cloud storage service you can imagine, and has a decently large co

The Backblaze computer backup app is kind of a mess in general. The only reason I still use it is because of the unbeatable price, there are many better alternatives if cloud storage prices aren't an issue for you. I've had many i

Except you're not running the model locally, you're running an entirely different model that is deceptively named. You can pretend it's R1, and if it works for your purpose that's fine, but it won't perform anywhere

The "distilled+quantized versions" are not the same model at all, they are existing models (Llama and Qwen) finetuned on outputs from the actual R1 model, and are not really comparable to the real thing.

Yes, the Steam client was originally built on top of the same VGUI library used in Valve's games, and used the same style as HL1/CS/etc back then.
