Reinvesting profits doesn't mean you didn't have profits. Msft, aapl, goog, meta all reinvest profits in new ventures. Only Amazon can't manage to make a buck and tries to pass it off as reinvestment. Wrt azure vs gcp, I just

I imagine it's worse in industries where a firehose of profits papers over all manner of mistake, and where many founder/CEOs skipped business school.

If it were not for the prospect of selling their shares to you (or back to Apple later), no one would have bought those shares in the first place. When a company is going through tough times, it can raise capital by issuing more shares. App

We're talking about Reddit, not Apple. Apple has enough cash flow to fund most investments and enough stability to get a decent rate on the bonds it issues. They do not need to sell more shares for capital, although they do create shar

Lsd is one of the hardest substances to synthesize but the effective dose is so small that the price is almost free. Therefore someone who has real LSD to sell would not bother contaminating it. (At least I have not heard of that.) However

I'm not sure why state farm is doing this and citing wildfires. Most insurers already won't cover fire in the fire-prone areas of the state, so you have to get a separate plan just for fire through Cal FAIR which tends to be crazy

There are lots of factors that can influence PE but if your long term investing thesis is that retail traders will always love NVDA the most (and won't move on to the next hype train, as they did with TSLA and many others) that seems..

Skepticism is why momentum works in stocks. People tend to be afraid to buy, or even want to short, stocks that have just risen a lot. That's why it may take a while for a stock to rise to its true price after new information comes out
