If you are not liable for failing to do some thing then by definition you are not responsible for doing that thing.

The fact that the view leads you to ask “why do it?” does not mean that it is an overly simplistic view.

That’s exactly what I’m saying. To actually get free trade a country has to refuse to reciprocate in trade restrictions. This is my point, it’s not “free trade” for one country to match other countries’ restrictions on trade.

Lots of people seem to conflate how bad someone's speech is with how "free" it is.

I don't agree that the validity of his claim depends in any way on his character, reputation, or personal political views. The validity of a claim is independent of any attribute of the person making the claim. The only way to make any

Then the outcome is that a country can claim to support free trade while deliberately not supporting free trade, since "it's the other countries' fault."

Just to be clear, Molyneux had long been an anarcho-capitalist, which is already an extreme take on free market economics. I wouldn’t look too far into it, and I certainly wouldn’t conclude that white nationalism is the logical conclusion o

I don't understand that argument. It sounds like you're saying that the way to get freer trade is for all parties to restrict trade, since "free trade has to work both ways."

I don’t think anyone expects that to be done atomically. Most of the advocacy I have seen is directed at individual police departments, with some organization between the efforts and some advocacy for nationwide criminal justice and policin

I don’t think it even necessarily matters whether the chicken is sufficiently conscious. If we asked “why does the chicken have a red comb?” it would be clear we weren’t asking for an explanation of the chicken’s conscious choices.
