I believe one argument is if China owns US companies, it means China is providing capital to a US company. Maybe it becomes clearer by asking, "How does allowing China to own US companies harm the US (economically)?"

I totally understand the upside of writing one app for both platforms, but at the end of the day they are still two different platforms. It seems unlikely you’re going to make a high quality app unless you give each version the individualiz

I would prefer a faster bootup time and search field that doesn't lag for 3 seconds before bringing up the keyboard. Maybe it's because I'm using an iPhone 5S but it would still be nice.

If you're interested in Swift just for Swift, then I would recommend against learning Swift through iOS development (just in case you were thinking about that). You'll spend more time figuring out things specific to iOS (cocoa fra

I know it is meant to be satirical, but the reality is there are trade-offs involved with each of these points. I don't think it is wise to treat any of them as absolute rules. Maybe someone smarter than me could write about the trade-

I’m probably the minority here but I don’t like to customize my Vim too much. 1 - it takes time. 2 - half the reason I like Vim is because I can use it anywhere. If I’m so used to a highly customized setup, then I am going to feel out of pl

Teach to test + inflated grades - If that turns out to be true, then I suppose that is what parents want. Who else should be the one deciding how/what students are taught? Weaker students - Maybe. But if weaker students are being overl

You can build your UI programmatically and not touch storyboards/xibs. A lot of people do this and I am slowly moving away from IB myself. This library has been recommended for doing autolayout: https://github.com/nakio
