I recently played The Cave from Double Fine. It's a kind of attempt to create modern kind of classic adventure. You still have fun story, items and need to use them properly, but UX is more fun than clicking the mouse all around.

AFAIK, that's actually MSYS. But since I need git anyway, I'm using exactly that, together with MinGW-w64 and it works quite well.

IIRC, when they designed the plan, they took historical data of the past 100 years and made sure the plant was built to sustain any disaster that happened in that period. But this one was stronger.

I'm curious which tasks you find easier? I was a hardcode Linux user before I got Mac, so I had to try it. Four months later, and I never boot into Ubuntu anymore because everything works equal or better on OSX. Am I missing something?

I have been using Ubuntu 14.04 since it came out. Anyone who calls Yosemite buggy should try running Ubuntu as their primary system and see what buggy really looks like. YMMV, of course.

I don't. It Unity's goal to enable as many potential developers as possible. It's also their curse.

The problem with Unity from game-player POV is that it's too easy. It means that anyone can make games, and I've seen too many games now that have beautiful art and crappy play experience. The games feel slow and controls sluggish

You can have both. The way I did this in some of my apps is that JSON data is shared between web and Android/iOS client, BUT rendering that data into HTML is done server side: The server detects if the request is coming from the browse

I completely agree. I miss playing more games like that. Some 6 months ago I decided to learn how to draw pixel art to make one myself. I should have a playable demo out in a couple of weeks. You can track my progress on my twitter account

I agree. I used Linux exclusively from 2006 up until this year. In that period I ran Slackware, Fedora, Debian, Mint, Ubuntu, SuSE, Mandrake/Mandriva, Gentoo for at least 3-4 months each, but mostly stick to Slackware. I got tired of p

Typing characters like [, ], /, \ with Serbian Latin keyboard requires using Alt or Shift key. I'm used to that (for about 2 years now), but many of my programmer friends still use US keyboard while programming and switch to Serbi

I'm using US English and Serbian (Latin) keyboard all the time. The difference is that US one has W,Q,X and Y, and the Serbian one has Š,Č,Ć,Đ and Ž. Except for Z and Y all other characters have the same position (QUERTY vs QUERTZ). I&

Apparently there are two APIs available for this. Unfortunatelly, none of the devices I have at hand use the other API so I cannot test. :( If you want, I can send you the source code to try to modify it. Just e-mail me.
