At some point, sure. But not at the point where you're just doing 50% more than Seattle. Get back to me when your ratio of new units to immigrants is double or triple that of Seattle on a sustained basis. If the price still isn't

Then they just aren't building enough. To be sure, if Vancouver added ten million units, vacancy rates would go up. If vacancy rates are staying flat now, that just means the number of units being added now is insufficiently close to t

Well, they wouldn't have been literally impossible. Anything that can be done with swap can be done by writing the data to disk and then reading it back. That's all swap is doing.

Diagnosing failed windows updated is tough for exactly this reason. The UI doesn't bubble up anything detailed, not even an opaque error number. You have to dig through the log files.

There is not generally a right to confidentiality of information you share with a third party. There are a few exceptions (spouses, doctors, lawyers, among others). If party A shares information with party B outside one of these protected r

It would also be pretty easy to spot something like that happening. If you see a stock in the Russell 3000 that is substantially less valuable than the distribution's tail would lead you to expect, then somebody is probably fucking wit

Isn't Watson known to be somewhat snake-oily? I don't think it's reasonable to transfer assessments based on Watson to Deepmind or any other organization.

Agreed with everything except the last sentence. Pure capitalism will let some buildings sit idle. But I think many people believe that pure capitalism optimized for things other than human well-being.

I'm not seeing it. It may not be overall good policy, but it seems like this would induce rental, if perhaps at a lower price. Where is the negative feedback? Care to elaborate?

As with many things: it depends on who wants it more. In this case, I think AMD probably cares more.

This is never going to change and in fact will only get worse, since there is no incentive for website owners (besides quixotic comments on hacker news, which let's face it have approximately zero motivational value). Client side solut

You cannot any more. There is some kind of piracy protection that prevents it. I tried streaming the marvelous Mrs maisel to Chromecast via fullscreen recently and you can't see any video when you do, only audio.

This is the closest thing to true, imo. I'm not trying to say we know nothing about parenting. Beating your children probably leads to worse outcomes than not, for example. However the rest is vulnerable to a host of selection bias iss
