I would tend to agree. Somewhere else in the thread someone recounted a conversation with a 24 month old far more advanced than any two year old I've met could manage. I think it would be pretty lucid even for my 3yo. That's not t

Your advice is unhelpful, in two ways. One, you're suggesting a psychological diagnosis without nearly enough information. Two, the action you suggest taking (see a psychologist) is not an avenue available to the person you're tal

This is an amazing story of progress, technology, and hope. Do you need to make it about what it costs to you, or can that discussion maybe wait for another context?

Many, many women wish to carry their own children. Some want to do that this badly.

One important consolation, for those of us who are savers. Corporate profits are likely to increase significantly (at least on a first-order basis). So if you own a lot of stock, I somewhat expect to see the return on that rise. This doesn&

4k sqft 25 minutes from mountain view is probably a cool three million at least. Otoh I have saved four and a half million over the last ten years as a simple non-workaholic individual contributor at one of the big cos. So maybe it's o

As long as you don't need the assets during the downturns, this doesn't matter.

If you believe owning rental units is "(mis?)appropriating" wealth, I dearly hope you are divested from the stock market and avoid keeping your money in banks. The former is exactly the same thing, and the latter is contributory t

I am not a ddos mitigation expert, but I am under the impression that the remedies you mention are only going to help with relatively small attacks. It is very inexpensive to buy enough DDOS capacity to saturate a whole server's CPU ju

Non-flippant answer, in case this question is genuine: there are no laws against what any individual banker did, or else there is insufficient evidence to prosecute the bankers under any law they hypothetically broke. Not so with this engin

For historical flavor, Destiny had a widely reviled endgame early on too. On release, Vault of Glass did not exist, nor a lot or the daily and weekly activities. Not saying that excuses a similar dearth of content in d2 but it is worth know

Photo dna is just one of a class of algorithms called perceptual image hashes (there are also perceptual audio and video hash algorithms). They by no means invented the technique, just one particular branded implementation of it.

I 100% prefer the status quo to the idea proposed here. I understand that some people would rather not be pictured, but I don't think that should override the right of others to make images in public spaces (or private spaces with suit

Yep. Other replies about bad selling experiences notwithstanding, as a buyer, Amazon's experiences are mechanically great. They might sacrifice a seller on an altar every week, and that would be sad, but it makes your statement no less

Maybe . . . It's not intellectual property that keeps internet companies at the top of the pile, for the most part, unless we are counting trade secrets and domain names as intellectual property (and they are in a sense, but not the se

The opposite, I think. Lvt does not tax the value of improvements. And while lots can be very valuable, they are not very valuable compared to the improvement if the improvement is a skyscraper.

Personally, I am skeptical of studies that count tax breaks as subsidies. If the company's BATNA is to go to a lower tax state, surely one cannot count the entire break as a subsidy, as opposed to a necessary cost to retain the company

Anti-subsidy rules aren't exactly a totally contrived reason for tariffs. If the American company is working without subsidy, then it's hard to compete on even footing when the Canadian competitor is underwritten by the state. The

I mean those aren't the only two variables that determine the value of a real estate company. I feel like that signal, absent context, tells nothing. It's the same way that you can infer little about a line from only one point on
