Emacs does have great documentation, but those functions you linked to are a perfect example of the problem with Elisp's "standard library": the naming and conventions have been grown organically and at this point often feel

The App Store would not reject an app just because its source was under the GPL. It's the other way around: it's the FSF who says that Apple's terms don't allow full compliance with the GPL.

Not sure what you're referring to. It's absolutely standard for iOS apps to load dynamic libraries that are bundled along with them. Additionally, Emacs itself doesn't consist of more than one executable.

This was also something that was enhanced recently and will be in Emacs 29: https://github.com/emacs-mirror/emacs/blob/21b387c39bd9cf07c... > Emacs is now capable of editing files with very long lines. >

Rust is over 12 years old at this point as a publicly-available project (its development started internally sometime in the late 00s; it was publicized in summer of 2010).

Two suggestions that might make it easier for you. There's a package called `undo-fu` that puts a thin layer on top of the undo system to keep the behavior strictly linear. And built in, there are the `undo-only` and `undo-redo` comman
