Do you have a blog describing the parts and where you got them? I'm interested in doing the same type of thing, but for a different situation and was going about it differently.

Same thing happened to me with AT&T in Tulsa with their fastest offering (I think it was 24/3 at the time). All speed tests, downloads, uploads were almost always the advertised speeds, but I couldn't watch Netflix or HBO GO,

Why would you want to redo in Ruby and Rails if the current solution is working fine in php? Are there significant benefits? You could significantly improve upon and/or add to the current system/application instead of rewriting, n

From my experience, walking for 45-60 minutes in addition to my daily routine (the items mentioned by other posters already) add up to about the 10,000 step goal. I try to bike to work every day and/or walk about 5km in addition to any

I think one of the points of this posting is that if you take it too serious you already are not fit for the job. Thus, it's helping to weed out candidates that may not fit well with the company.

That sounds like fun! I'm jealous. I never played Barkley, but I have fond memories of playing Streets of Rage and Madden on the Genesis. The controls of the current iterations of Madden for me are much to complex, it's a chore to

What SEGA games have you been playing? Very cool! Funny how most of the comments mention giving up video games altogether and you mention getting back into them.

I'm surprised you would have chosen a PS4 over a PS3. The PS4 is not backwards compatible and the PS3 has a large assortment of console exclusives as well as being significantly cheaper (and DLNA media streaming if you are into that).

I was a nub user. Then I got a Macbook Pro. So far this is the only touchpad I can use. The IBM and Lenovo Thinkpads are the only nubs I can use also. Everything else feels terrible and unusable.

Those using Linux on your laptop is the sleep, suspend, and hibernate functions working? That's my number one reason I have kept on using Mac OS X. The other being iOS development.

My favorite fiction book is Shadows of the Empire by Steve Perry. I am not a fan of the Star Wars books nor am I a hardcore Star Wars fan, but this book captures me every time. Other favorites, not including those mentioned by others alread

I like Source Code Pro, but it lacks italics. That's really the only downside to me. I love Monaco also, but only unaliased at about 10pt. Otherwise, I use Menlo or DejaVu Sans Mono usually. I've known about Anonymous Pro, but hav

I have no problem with using Linux instead of Mac OS X. I would love to in fact, but I have a laptop. One of the greatest features of my laptop is that I can close it up and take it with me. I can then open it up and continue work. The prob

I always disable scrollbars in my .vimrc. Fullscreen MacVim is wonderful! Sometimes I open up to 8 windows and jump between them. I found the scrollbars more of a distraction and nuisance than they were helpful.
