That's what the woke policies that aim to divide society get you. The question is, how many people are falling for that narrative? I'd wager most people don't care at all if they're not listening to mainstream and social

Is this a surprise to anyone? It's simple logic/cause-and-effect. The sooner we move away from fiat money and interest based finance, the better.

Sum types with exhaustive checking, and records are two extremely serious omissions in golang. Several times now we've run into issues because of this in the current project I'm working on.

For resource management, Java/C# have try-with-resources/using statements. Python has `with`, golang has "defer". GC addresses other issues like memory sharing, cyclic data structures, etc.

The problem is that some videos disable comments (e.g. see the white house videos), or the video owners will simply delete those comments.

Again, having a lower learning curve is a non-goal for any serious project. All languages have their quirks and approaches to expressing concepts, and golang is no different. Java already has a low latency GC (ZGC), and with GraalVM being m

Java (and other JVM languages), as well as C# to a certain extent address the points you raise. Secondly, it's not true that golang has a minimal learning curve (I've seen senior engineers write bad golang code when they're o

I agree with the poster you're replying to. The large golang projects I've been involved with have been extremely tedious to work on, even on projects started from scratch. The language is extremely weak (it's not expressive)

Java is getting green threads by means of Project Loom, and value types by means of Project Valhalla. Not to mention it has sum types and pattern matching, something not available in golang. golang doesn't even have proper enums, quite

Java's interfaces (nominal typing) is superior for both readability as well as IDE performance. Working on a large golang code base, it's always a struggle for both the programmer as well as the IDE to find out what interfaces a g
