The title seems innocent enough, but if I understand this correctly, this purports to be a proof of P != NP. I'm not familiar with a lot of the stuff talked about in the paper, but it's still exciting to see another attempt at the

Another similar book is Harper's Practical Foundations for Programming Languages[1]. I had the privilege of taking a course[2] about this kind of stuff with Prof. Harper at CMU. [1]: https://www.amazon.com/Practical-Fou

Great stuff. Do Stripe products make affordances for people who are color-blind? For instance, do "error" notifications always contain an icon for "error" as well as a red background/text color? The "Differenti

While you are right that 毒 (doku) means 'poison', the Japanese word for 'sudoku' is 数独[1]. 数 (su) = number, numeral, digit 独 (doku) = alone, solitary, single This conveys the idea that the digits may only appear once per

Function application in most languages in which 'f x' means 'apply the function f to the argument x' is left associative. So `map inc [1,2,3]` is the same as `(map inc) [1,2,3]`. This is consistent with the fact that -&g

I'm not sure what you mean by "appeal." But, it seems to me that if P = NP, and if we can find a constructive proof of this fact, i.e. someone presents a P-time algorithm A_L deciding an NP-complete language L, the field of C

Minor nitpick: it says "...you will learn how to:" and then one of the bullet points (the one about SQL) starts with "How to..."

No, actually, but I did (sort of) reimplement[0] the "git browse" command that hub gives you. I'd probably use hub if I was involved in more projects that didn't have me as the sole developer. [0]: https://git

Completely unrelated to the article, but I'm curious what people's thoughts are on full-width lines of text characteristic of unstyled HTML. I've seen some[1] bemoan its impacts on readability and others[2] complain about web

Looks like graphics.isManipulating is a gotten variable, not a function. That breaks the kevin clock example and the commented-out part of the piston example.

Yeah, I'm not seeing how "tree node_modules" is an argument against npm per se. Maybe one could argue npm, inc promotes the small-modules approach, but I don't think that's relevant to whether npm itself is a good p

You can customize keyboard shortcuts with System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> App Shortcuts. However, this may only serve to compound the problem.
