Why? These applications are super complex and you can't count on all eyeballs detecting a potential backdoor. And, you don't know if the code in the repo matches what you download from the App Store.

That's cool. On the other hand, I would love to have a stable API for drivers so manufacturers can release their drivers. That has been taken from me, and now Linux will never be a real choice for me without good GPU drivers, as an exa

As of today still most of the software I use seems to get stuck in one core of my CPU when calculating stuff so I'd argue that by enabling HT I'm losing performance.
