Even in that case, if you're manually editing anything inside /usr either by being root or by using sudo, you're doing something wrong or unexpected. Anything inside /usr should only ever be modified by the package manag

I'm going to take a guess and say that you're using GNOME if you're using Fedora and yeah, I don't think auto type works on GNOME's wayland version yet. They're working on their own protocol called libie the la

I wonder how the post manifest v3 world will look like and how much it'll affect uBlock Origin on Chromium based browsers. Even now, several features, such as CNAME uncloaking, happen only on Firefox.

This may not be as impressive but I wrote a script to eliminate one of the primary roadblocks I faced when I moved to Wayland on my Linux desktop — a script to copy and autotype password store and gopass data, kinda like rofi-pass https:&#

Environment variables are fine when used for things that usually don't change once they're set. For example, XDG_CONFIG_HOME or GOPATH. They are, however, absolutely awful when used to configure values that will probably change in

Maybe vertical tabs would work for you? If you want something simple and fast, Tab Center Reborn is nice. If you want something more with more features, Tree Style Tabs is good enough but it is somewhat slow and and hard to configure.

Got it, so I should get the panel, the driver, and an eDP cable (to connect the driver and the panel?) from a single seller. I assume that the use of 3D printer was mentioned to build an enclosure for the panel, like for using a VESA mount?

I've been going crazy and frustrated with the lack of HiDPI monitors on the market which can do integer scaling (27 inch 5K, 32 inch 8K) and here's a website that lists panels for such monitors. I have no idea how to go about maki

CGNAT will be here for the forseeable future and I wouldn't be surprised if ISPs end up deploying some version of CGNAT on IPv6, assuming they're somehow forced to use IPv6 in the future.
