That's kind of what the dotcom bubble was. Startups with only startups as their customers. All juggling fantasy money around until some investors wanted their money back.

I'm also working on an open source RSS Reader called HappyFeed. It's compatible with Fever RSS API, so you can use it with Reeder, ReadKit, Press and so on. I work on this project mainly for myself, but if you're interested a

I have no idea why anyone would build content pages with angular (or any other client-side framework). It's just stupid. Client-side Frameworks work perfectly for "internal" (say: everything behind a login) Apps. Too many peo

Just because that is the case, doesn't mean it has to be this way, or that it's OK. The sad thing is, we all have to accept that mobile App Stores are not a "real software market". Mobile Apps are more like Plugins to so

Oh well. It's like Music Lables vs Napster all over again. The funny twist is, Springer gives away content for free. They just imply that there is "some kind of contract" between a website provider an a visitor, that the visi

How does that work if everybody does it? I think Vine is a good position in this, since they're kinda "famous".

I'm sorry to be that guy, but if we had more "open" distribution ways for smartphones, something like this wouldn't have happend. Because they would have noticed it early on (to fix it) before anybody else would have. N

Since most people have their console running behind a firewall, this should not be an issue. Unless you expose those ports to the outside world...

The difference is, Spotify has a HUGE brand. When Spotify launched it was like iTunes, but you could listen to everything "for free". Sure, it wasn't free but compared to paying for every Album i'd listen to, a flat rate

For someone like me who was using Spotify for a few years, the short experience with Rdio that i had was like "Oh, ok, it's basically like Spotify. I keep using Spotify then."

As many before me said, walk away. In most cases situations like these end up costing your more money than you gain from it. If your company isn't worth a lot of money, "walking away" is the best option in my opinion. Oh and

I don't see how TLS is early stage overhead for someone runnig a private nginx server behind a CDN? Sure, someone with no devops skills at all will have a harder time, but it's for the better. Soon it will be The Way to install
