Surely there's a way to target the JVM? I'd trust my life on the JVM, it's pretty battle tested, and the GC is simply awesome.

1 thread per connection??? Not doing continual GC in a separate thread and instead taking 7 seconds and blocking everything? What is this the 1990s?

Why? You'd just have 2 boxes - "Email from your FB friends", "Email from other people".

Definitely be interesting, but I think many of the figures would remain the same. The lack of state provided health care exists whether you look at the US or only NY. It'd be nice to get some user contributed/voted on facts as well on the w

UTTER BS. It shows that women can 'learn' to get better at spacial awareness. Just like men can 'learn' to get better at communication. It doesn't "directly contradict" anything.

So, decided to completely ignore all my points and evidence about physical differences in the brain between the sexes, evolution etc eh? I think we're getting nowhere here. You clearly have an agenda to follow rather than a desire to find o

Google is your friend. I'm not about to spoon feed you common sense, just like I can't be bothered to find studies that show the earth isn't flat right now. And if you're serious, you have to respond to all my other points. For example:

That's silly. Most men will naturally also be able to lift heavy weights. That's not to say women aren't allowed to work in jobs where you need to lift big weights, but it'll be more natural for most men. The sexes have obvious physical dif

I think the hysteria would be far far less if the media didn't sensationalize and completely over-blow the rare instances of abuse that do happen. The media has such a ridiculously lopsided view of risk, but the general public buy it. They

I'm not saying always , but certainly at the schools I went to, the female teachers were by and large softer, and would let you get away with more. I think naturally, when faced with bad behavior women will try to empathize and reason, whe

I think a lot of it is subconsciously consumed. Also if you were lucky to have a good male role model at home - father/older siblings, then perhaps male teachers weren't important to you. There's a lot of evidence to suggest that boys learn

In the 'olden' days, we used to have discipline in schools. So male teachers were extremely useful to have. Bad pupils used to get told off, disciplined, and snapped into line. Now, naughty kids get 'diagnosed' and given a cool label, get a

My point, is that "80 lines of javascript" is technically incorrect. There's no point to mention how many lines of code it is, unless it's actually true.

Hate to nitpick, but blatant linkbait headline. It's not 80 lines of JavaScript. It's 80 lines of javascript + thousands more lines of JavaScript in the form of libraries.
