It may be the time to switch to fiber. You may be too young to remember when ethernet switched from coax (10Base2) to twisted pair (10BaseT), but the economics look like it will soon be time to make the physical media jump again.

I'm able to find 10GBASE-SR SFP+ 850nm 300m for $10/ea on Amazon. For short distances (e.g. in the same room) you'd be smart to use Twinax.

Nonsense. I've used 10GbE over CAT5 cables, plenty. The upper limit for 10GbE over CAT5e is about 45m: https://www.universalnetworks.co.uk/10gbaset-can-this-be-run... I expect that is sufficient for most residential in

I think the reasonable solution is: Buy a new TV. We're not talking about a jumbotron display here. A cheap new TV with proper color is likely very inexpensive.

When they "shrivel up" the fabric is actually melting. Melting into your skin is what turns a minor burn to turn into a life-threatening 3rd degree burn. "catch on fire" is NOT the danger.

That would only be true if people are charging huge batteries that sustain their full home energy usage. If they're only charging small batteries to sustain the most important devices in their homes, the usage will still be much lower

No idea what you're talking about here. Solar charge controllers are quite mature and do exactly what is needed. You're literally putting a few wires on the right terminals, and a few connectors. Only the low-battery signal would

Get a 12V SLA battery, solar charge controller, 14-20V AC adapter, and a USB car charger if you need 5V output in addition to 12V. DONE! The "DC UPS" units you can find for sale (as well as USB power banks) don't have any mo

Highly flammable! I avoid synthetic fabrics to begin with because in a fire they turn to melted plastic and cause instant 3rd degree burns. Natural fabrics will char, protecting you a little bit in the process, and simply not make your inj

No, you're confusing MSRP with MAP (minimum advertised price). MSRP is typically the MAXIMUM price you'll see an item sold for, while MAP is typically the MINIMUM.
