The moment a programmer conflates OOP with 'complicated graphs with lots of interdependencies between nodes', it's the moment I stop reading their writings. OOP does not force one write complicated graphs of objects. OOP has

How about building new better houses for the rich or the richer, and so the old houses would be left for the poorer? Why not deal with the problem by manipulating the supply side of the equation?

Doesn't it seem to you that the problem is those regulations that can allow the exemptions rather than rent control? I mean, if it wasn't possible to exempt a building from the regulations, there wouldn't be an issue with ren

Exactly the reason why Communism/Socialism fails. In these political/social systems, The Powers That Be are informal and no one can challenge them, leading to all sorts of distortion of the socioeconomic system.

I wholeheartedly and completely disagree with the article. I believe that copyright should be eternal and one should be able to profit from their works for as long as their works are found desirable by other people. There is nothing to be g

Get a circle of people that satisfies your needs. Let most of the bullshit be outside of that circle. People do that all the time, and also they do it online. That's why online communities exist. People share their bullshit, thinking i

The technical solution is easy and it is the same solution as when we make bank transactions online: one time pin codes. If another company wants you to send payments to another bank account, then you mail back the received pin code to that

I don't buy that at all as well. They could have made the console a bit bigger, and a bit more flexible inside. I wasn't asking for the full powerdrift arcade experience, but something that can emulate it to a certain degree.

64 bytes per scan line X 200 scan lines = 12,800 bytes. 1,000,000 / 12,800 = 78.125 i.e. frame rate = 78 frames per second could be updated with that speed. I am sure 78 frames per second are not really desirable, so the resolution cou

Sorry for asking this in here, but since the double slit experiment is mentioned, I have a question. Is the wave formed by light a 2d wave, like waves on the surface of the water? And if so, then if we turn the slits sideways, why does the
