Belichick specifically said he was not talking about atmospheric temperature conditions, but the conditions of the ball. Presumably whatever rubbing of the ball was necessary for preparation heated the air in the ball. He must have explaine

Not that this is necessarily any cleaner, but in C++14 one would write: return "mailto"s + ":"s + name + "@"s + domain; and it would compile fine. (s being a literal for std::string)

Sure, there are limits to foreign jurisdiction. IANAL, but if you have customers in Canada and you also send email to Canada you may have to care about CASL. Even if the message originates from a US server.

CASL applies to any electronic message either sent from or accessed in Canada [1]. 1: http://www.canadianadvertisinglaw.com/anti-spam-law/

No, this is incorrect. Just because the original code is GPL, doesn't automatically make it legal for any modifications to be released to the public as GPL without the copyright owner's consent. (In this case, the company owns the

A lot of DNS providers provide "ANAME" records. Which are essentially services which do the lookup and update A records in a cron.

A list is called a list in python for the same reason the term dictionary is used -- these are the high level concepts for abstract types. The specific implementation details aren't too important, as often times you just want "the

IMHO, libraries like this should always have an easy "out", where the default is strongly typed, but the user of the library can explicitly escape the known behavior if need be. As a (albeit poor example), I once inherited a click

Not necessarily. Read the 21st amendment. It mostly repeals the 18th and clarifies that laws can be made to regulate alcohol use. The petition is to control alcohol under the Controlled Substances Act.

Once you use scikit-learn to figure out what you want to do on a reasonable data set, you can use Mahout ( http://mahout.apache.org/ ) to translate the algorithm to hadoop pretty easily.

Of course it depends on who's using your code. In java, if you have an api that other people are using, then you must use getters and setters. In python there is no such restriction.

I don't know how much experience you have with python.. but you don't need getters/setters in order to gain flexibility. You can always redefine how assignment/accessing works for any property later.

To me, what makes CPython special is that it's a language interpreter that's incredibly easy to get into and hack due to its simplicity. Pypy, while probably a good standard for server use, will never have that quality to it. IMHO it would

It depends on what you're working on. If you're developing a SaaS application where an individual instance should be providing group features based on the hostname, suddenly host names becomes a development detail. Though I agree that in mo

IMHO an s-expression api would be awesome, but I think any public facing input would have to allow the "conventional" format. I guess App Engine doesn't want to force app developers to make that conversion.

Huh? Presence of parentheses != s expressions. For starters, the expression "foo" AND "bar" is valid, but not an s expression.

I think the fact that Django's url mapper doesn't make it easy to dispatch based on the method means that Django wouldn't score to highly against this particular issue. It's easy to put if request.method not in ('POST', 'PUT', 'DELETE
