Well, can you help me understand how the conversation was detoured in the first place? I tried to read it, but as mentioned I don't use Twitter so it's confusing to me. If I read it right...a person posted a photo that turned pix

Wait...ignoring a discussion on Twitter is a privilege now? Some people don't have the privilege to do so? Just...put down your phone? I guess that makes me super privileged, seeing as I don't visit that cess pool of a site.

I hope so, too. I'm not really interested in 'social' these days, but joined Gab early on out of curiosity to check it out. That didn't last long. While not everyone was bad, there existed enough racist and hateful c

I remember Cyrix as just releasing Intel compatible/clone chips, am I misremembering something?

Same. I've always wondered this, but never enough to google. Amazing the things I learn just clicking random links here.

Well, unless it's changed, the big problem is that it seems the first person to sign up is the moderator/leader/whatever. And those are the people with nothing better to do, who subdivide to gain power over some amount of ho

Not sure the rules on this... but I am moving from ITX to mATX probably next week. If you're interested in miniITX b450 I don't really have a plan for mine, email is in profile.

I don't understand why people favor Snap or Flatpak to Appimage, which looks to be the simplest of the three. Would anyone mind sharing their experiences?

Yeah, you were in an unfortunate situation with your graphics card, which the problems stemmed from. Navi support was just added in Linux 5.3 iirc, and that was just the first draft of the drivers. Then for a while you had to use a specia

This is all great information. FWIW, managing and automating anycasted 'middleboxes' for others is part of my work. The scary part, to me, is what paying customers demand. Largely, they don't want to fix broken or legacy s

Middleboxes can still do that, assuming they have a valid SSL certificate. But that obviously makes it a -trusted- middlebox, not say, your ISPs middlebox.

I think it's just a paradigm difference. For me at least, I think better about tests -after- implementation. A short example. Let's say I had to write a hash function. If I were forced to write a test for it up front, I'd

It's funny you say that. Not long ago, one fresh dev was tasked with linting old code. Their first pass was to delete everything that the linter complained about. Hey, I guess they solved the problem!

This sounds awful. In fact, TDD as a whole is awful. I'm a developer, I can make any awful code pass any test I want.

Keep in mind, PepsiCo is huge, and not just 'Pepsi' as its name makes one think. They own or are affiliated with a large portion of your typical drink, snack, breakfast, and juice aisles of the grocery store.

As someone with both, both have their place, but HBO is a strong offering. HBO in-house content is way better, and they have a lot more good movies available to watch on demand. I'd say Netflix wins strictly at UI, and variety overal
