iPhone 4, if like me, you think user experience and ease of use are the most important factors in a device you use 20-30 time a day while on the go. Droid 2 on verizon (out in about a month I believe) if you have philosophical objections to

My eyes used to be my weakest link. Then I got a pair of Gunnar Optics computer glasses. They soften the contrast of bright screens with their yellow tint, cut glare, have a slight corrective factor, and reduce airflow around my eyes keepin

Nah, Tweetie (the iPhone Twitter client in the screenshots above) also has a built in email client for sending links. No need to leave the app. And yes in iOS 4 if you DID need to exit the app it would be in the state you left it when you r

But... the results for "lose weight" and "how to lose weight" are not the same. Nor are the results for "earthquake" vs "what is an earthquake". In both cases if I'm after the latter then it is the more verbose query that yields the better

I love The Economist. It's the only magazine I subscribe to. I think British culture is close enough to US culture to do a great job capturing the subtleties of American politics; at the same time they remain less biased since, for the most

BP's business model is based around taking calculated risks. Apple's is based around creating beautiful products with innovative new features. They have definitely done it again... but whether or not the external antenna feature in particul

More like: it's a drawback. I have a hard time believing the shorting-the-antennas issue was unforeseen by Apple. I give a company that just pulled in a $63.5B year a little more credit.

I'm finding the external antenna's advantage may out-weigh its drawbacks. Hands mess with cell phone reception. Every phone has an optimal way to be held so as to minimize this effect. The difference with the iPhone 4 is that the optimal ho

On the flip side of Mark's point, it seems that free-form questions are a great opportunity for the answerer to steer the course of the rest of the conversation. Next time I'm going into an important meeting like the ones Mark describes in

The poor logic originates from the techcrunch headline... Not what Steve Jobs said. >“People seem to be liking the iPad,” Jobs said to laughs and applause. “We’ve sold one every three seconds since we launched it,” he added.
