I'm really unsure why something like that would be important to anyone. I define myself by what I am doing and what I hope to achieve. What I did 35 years ago belongs to a person I no longer am.

They have these in Bath, where I live, but the issue is that they 'zone' an area and then shift the problem out of that zone into neighboring zones. Also residents parking usually only applies a restriction Mon-Sat 8:00-18:00. I t

I think the UK suffers from lack of 'cost for parking on public roads'. One proposal is to bring in a Location Specific Public Highways Parking Permit with discounts for residents without off-road parking as needed. Commuters coul

The consensus is around some sort of road pricing either through ANPR cameras or telematic boxes. Fuel duty revenue in the UK is £28billion. That's a big hole to fill.

I suspect, requiring all cars to have a telematic device is the answer here. Insurance companies are already using these and the behaviour of individuals drastically improves when one is installed. This has an advantage in enabling provisio

Taxing the purchase of a car seems non-sensical to me. It is not, so much, the ownership that is the problem, but the use of the car that creates congestion and health issues. Tax fuel and bring in road pricing.

I always think this is very much the approach MVP (Minimum Viable Product) takes. I've seen this taken to the extreme in a company where the IT department where applying MVP to their internal business users creating absolute havock. Ev

A developed country is not a place where the poor have cars. It’s where the rich use public transport — paraphrased from Enrique Penalosa, former Mayor of Bogotá, Colombia http://newyork.thecityatlas.org/lifestyle/devel

I suspect that the move to EV will eventually create a revenue hole from reduced fuel taxes necessitating the move to road pricing. Politically unpalatable but I think a necessary step.

This argument is similar to the one used to justify Brexit, that immigrants are in some way taking farm jobs away from locals. The reality though is very different. The jobs that are seasonal, tough, and do not pay well. Literaly the way na

Isn't this simply a case of execution? Everyone has ideas. I had an idea for a product. Then a couple of years later somebody was selling the product and seemed to be doing well out of it. I was pleased that at least it was out there.
