Best strategy (for me) seems to be to play it like tetris. Never ever use the up key and create a row at the bottom where everything collapses into it. This sort of clicked towards, oooh I don't know about 1:30am this morning.

One of the places I contracted at had the best dynamic in the team of developers. They had this lunchtime ritual where everyone went for a 45 min lunch walk. Cleared the head, gave you exercise and you were able to to chew the cud with peop

I think you'll be surprised at how quickly this type of thing is evolving. Google is putting an immense effort into solving this problem. I don't see self-drive cars as a solution for rural areas, but I do see a massive demand for

From what I can tell, this is aimed at 3rd world countries. I'm guessing Microsoft did not want to put their OS on a device that won't have top performance as well.

Kudos to him for this. Could not have been an easy decision but does sound like he listens and wants what is best for Ubuntu in the long run.

I have to say this rings true for me. Long term involved in one language and feeling that the world is moving on. JavaScript feels exciting.

I have to agree it seems a bit odd, however there may be some syndication meta data that is sent from dilbert.com that includes the topic of the strip. Again it seems odd. Of note I find the style of the comic up on Yahoo to be 'old&#x

Sorry but no. This isn't a tory only thing. This is down to the political system we have that allows people with little experience in a sector to be put 'in charge'. What I will say is that an expectation to be able to progra

Not so much Cobol, but basically the only places that still use it are profitable companies set up in the early 2000's. There's nothing wrong with it (although a lot of the time I end up writing Java as CF now compiles to it). It

Too be honest, after coding for 20+ years, I'm don't have a particular 'religion', but that probably has more to do with my main bread and butter coming from Coldfusion development. What I try and be is acutely aware of

As a BT Infinity (Fibre) customer I've realised the limiting factor for me is the fact I'm connecting over WiFi. Speed tests top out at around 50Mb and not 76Mb on my laptop. All my consoles/players are hooked up via cable. I

My own take on 4K/UHD is that it will allow me to get a cheap 39" display. Nothing more. I think the 'debacle' over the move to HD, the vague standards and the more recent 3D TV push has stayed my hand on upgrading my TV
