Accepted, but when your argument uses it as the example to follow it's very hard not to criticise on that basis. I think a more appropriate tool would be Microsoft Visual Studio. Talking about visual tools, many moons ago I worked with

Not sure his argument stands up very well. Not even MS Word can make something looks good on multiple sizes of paper.

I'm going to add something from the experience of being the kid that was dragged around Germany and the USA from the age of 3 to the age of 12 moving every 2 years. Positives: - I was put into the german school system learning german a

I have a Nexus 4 and my next phone is also probably going to be an Android phone but my shopping list now comes down to how well it takes a photo (N4 is horrible) and if it gets reasonable OS updates. I can now get this for around £100.

I remember going round a friends house and him loading up Elite onto a BBC B and my mind was blown. An exceptional game in 32kb. Would be interesting to see if they get as far as running Elite.

Having worked on ATC, this really does sound like a software bug. Fixing such a bug on a delivered system would require an immense amount of costly testing. Adding memory is the cheap option. The other thing to consider is that some of thes

This is one of these crazy situations where companies are lobbying the crap out of politicians to keep these insecticides on the market. These bees are fundamental to the production of most vegetable matter that we eat. The financial implic

To be honest, I don't think (and I'm going off the author's name) that english is his first language. Personally, I posted this to HN as it succinctly gave me a quick overview of MR. I try not to judge an article/blog po

Really fantastic suggestion. Dogs are amazing companions, however the long hours he works probably don't help, however he's probably working long hours so he doesn't have to come home to an empty house.

This thing reads like some sort of marketing buzzword bingo and doesn't seem to say anything at the end. PM tools are useful. They are all about communication and the 'bigger' picture. The issue I find is not so much with PM

I don't get why it needs massive heavy tyres. Wouldn't it be better to have a mobile platform from where it lifted off from saving quite a bit of weight. I mean the wheels and suspension must way rather a lot. This is a supply uni

Apparently this saved about 10,000,000 gallons of petrol. Such a simple thing to do, although algorithm complexity must have gone through the roof. 1 in 10 turns are now left turns.

As an aside, if you go for an interview and notice that each person has a Fail Buzzer (I never had one) as a 'joke', you should probably not accept a role if you don't have a thick skin.

One of the reasons I'm leaving my current role at the end of the month is due to this egocentric development approach from the team lead. "Bzzzzzt" and "Schoolboy error" are not good peer review comments to hand out
