Ok, sweet, so we just need to tell game developers to start packaging additional processors with their games. You need to get out more, you've completely lost perspective.

I kind of addressed that issue. If most people have the idea that your hammer is actually a screwdriver, it isn't their fault for misusing it. Someone put that idea there, and you as the creator of this not-a-screwdriver are responsibl

Arguments based on "X doesn't suck, 90% of people are just doing it wrong" aren't convincing to me. If nearly everyone is using a tool incorrectly, the problem is still with the tool. Maybe the tool doesn't suck, bu

I'm with 'roc' on this one. Including a bunch of obvious bugs tells me that you either a) can't distinguish between design and implementation or b) are more interested in shitting on other people's work than saying

Yes, and 'kyro' made comments talking about a trend that could have only been experienced during the beta. Having this many data points on battery life in a few hours would be a pretty neat trick, and a much more damning situation

They had moderators who apparently decided this didn't need stopping. The problem, unfortunately, is bigger than you think. That said, I agree. I don't want to have to apologize for my profession.

No real argument here, but Haskell does encourage you to use read only data structures unless you truly need writes. That said, there's still a wide variety of clever ways in which you can find your way to multithreading hell.

For a long time MySQL was easier to get started with, and the integration with PHP made it a popular choice on shared hosting services. A lot of developers cut their teeth on MySQL, many haven't felt the need to seek out alternatives.
