I think you have this exactly right. Sundar is like Neville Chamberlain. Maybe ok during peacetime. But now Google is at war, and needs a Churchill.

Not trying to be adversarial. But I’m not agreeing. Obviously gimp will keep working if they don’t upgrade the dependencies. I don’t understand how that is impressive.

What does that have to do with backwards compatibility? Gnome hasn’t received a major update in ages because it required so much work to support gtk4. Of course gimp would keep working if you keep it on gtk3.

This codec isn’t supported on the web. So it is Android and iOS only. This post talks about the improved audio quality, but I don’t buy it. This was probably done to reduce storage and bandwidth, not to improve audio quality. Phone speakers

THIS! GM has done this so they can charge monthly fees, and it sucks.

You're obviously a Red Hat employee. It might be worth disclosing it. I don't quite agree though. Sure, RH can decide when to patch, but a researcher isn't wrong just because they say "Hey, RHEL isn't patched".

This is such a poorly written article. There is an enormous difference between a vulnerability in CentOS Stream, and RHEL. The article title is about CentOS, but the body says RHEL is affected too.

You're absolutely right. It's absurd to frame it this way. Do they expect people to think "Wow, Github leaked a key, but even without knowing if anyone snagged it, they're still replacing it. Wow, they go above and beyon

I'm very surprised they aren't prioritizing the Linux build during the test. I get most players are still on Windows, but Valve literally have a Linux console, and they've ported essentially all their games to Linux. If Valve

fast is an overloaded word. Could mean throughput, or latency. S3 throughput is incredible. note, I worked on Amazon at S3 2015-2017.

When you are compared to Oracle, it's always, always, always bad. A lot of companies want and try to move off OracleDB, but it's really, really hard. I don't think that's the case for moving off Gitlab.

Right. But the point is, if you're already at a FAANG earning a huge salary, and you don't know if you're going to get laid off, you can either a) wait and hope for the best, or b) leave and get a job at a lower salary. I thi

Instead of Gitlab actually attracting more customers, they're trying to extract more money from their existing customers. This never ever goes well. Why can CEOs not see this. I'm moving to GitHub. I've always championed the
