I used to use KeypassX. They Keypass switched to C# and mono, and I wasn't interested in running that on Linux. Then I found enpass. The Linux app is high quality, it syncs with my cloud of choice, and has Win/Mac and Android/

I have an 8.4" 16x10 tablet and I love it for media consumption. I ride the bus for over an hour each way. It's nice to be able to use the tablet for 2-3 hours a day and not drain the battery on my phone.

Agree. If you don't care about it, drop it. Then users will immediately get the message rather than be frustrated as support gets worse and worse. I'm glad I use the xfs filesystem on Arch Linux. I dumped Dropbox immediately. Pret

I'd be glad to pay a 'match' fee, where they match my library for a small fee per game. But buying $60 games again is not going to happen. This might mean I purchase future games on Stadia.... Maybe. But not games I already o

I also work at a company heavily reliant on Microsoft Office. It makes it hard to pick any OS that isn't Windows or Mac. Cloud apps like Google Docs, Hangouts, Slack etc.. were supposed to make the OS less important. It's too bad

they did what many other companies do. Use the freemium model to gain users and publicity, then try to reduce costs and convert free users to premium by destroying the free tier.

I quit dropbox when they dropped support for xfs on linux. I've been pretty happy with Google Drive with insync Linux client.

I have a single server in my house. Mostly used to back up all my different devices and to run Plex. I run CentOS today. I am not clear on the restrictions and if I would be allowed to use the free RHEL. With the hassle (subscriptions, res

there's nothing 'lost' by supporting higher resolutions. It will render internally at (say) 4k, and upsample to 8k.

They won't really support native 8k in any real game. They'll support 8k the way ps4 pro support 4k. Through their upscaling technique. I'm all for that. The ps5 should definitely be able to do true, real 4k, and upsample to

True. In a case this simple, you likely wouldn't have to write an RCA. However, most real life situations I've seen show that there's always room to improve. For example, how quickly did your service recover once the underlyi

You can't end a 5 Whys with 'another team I depend on screwed up'. You have to own your software or service. If you depend on something, you need checks, alarms, and whenever possible the ability to handle dependency failure

One of my favourite games growing up. I was disappointed when the sequel became an Xbox exclusive in the west. I imported the Japanese copy of Shenmue II and played it on my Dreamcast. Fortunately there were English subtitles. I of course p

I'd agree with this. If they'd done this in 2012 when they were the up and coming, they might be in the lead today. I think ultimately this wasn't 'experimenting', this was Chef thinking they'd be in the lead _

This is precisely my fear. Cloudflare is using price as a selling point. For people with just a few domains, price isn't important. I have 5 domains with hover.com. I'm happy to pay a couple of bucks extra per year to know that th

I don't think Fuchsia would be used for this. Vulkan runs on Linux, Unreal/Unity run on Linux, and AMD has a good open source driver. Everything points to Linux being the right choice here.
