This is terrible. I use Linux at home, and Linux has always had difficulty printing. I deliberately bought a Brother laser printer with Google Cloud Print to avoid these issues. It also makes it easy to print from my phone. Had I known thi

There are rumours of a Steam Cloud [0] IMO this would be the best of both worlds. I don't want to purchase games from Google that will only work on Stadia. The ideal solution is to purchase games on Steam that you can play either on a

Right now I use Ulysses on my work Mac, JotterPad on Android and Typora/Caret on Linux. All sync'd on Google Drive. Ulysses is far and away better. I wish there was some equivalent on Android or Linux. I.e., native, fast, pretty,

I use PulseSMS. Unless Google quickly allows third party apps to integrate, third party apps are all doomed. Isn't this an anti-trust problem?

It is not ready yet. I hope it one day can compete with Plex, but I wonder if a community OSS project like this will take off and create high quality native apps per platform.

It is. But I spend more time at work using a Mac. I would rather use the best app for the OS. On Linux, there isn't anything as good as Ulysses.

I get that Electron is accepted as a way to do multi-OS apps. However, whenever possible, I find there are better OS specific apps. As I use Linux and Mac, I find the best app for each. For example, on my work mac I use Ulysses, and sync to

I would definitely pay. I paid for sublime and intellij. I mostly use Linux, and wish they had some of the beautiful apps that the Mac did. To me beauty is worth paying for.

Exactly. As an Android user, I always used to laugh when (10 years ago) people would upgrade to an iPhone from a flip phone and say "the best phone I've ever had". Ridiculous :).

So who is this for? Blog post says this is for people who want to test stuff before it lands in RHEL. Valuable to enterprise hardware/software companies etc.. But, if it's sort of a rolling RHEL, then this could be excellent for p

Excellent news. I don't need to find a new Podcast app :). It was fairly obvious things would come to this. Either accept major user backlash, or provide lifetime. I'm glad they made the right choice, I just wish they hadn't

I used Wordpress for years. It was such a hassle constantly getting emails about patching. In the end I got fed up and moved to hugo hosted on netlify. Fantastic. Zero maintenance.
