> you'll never get a date living like this There are plenty of people around the world that live like this and want to raise their family this way. And lots of intentional living communities. But location is everything.

Leading by example is a great place to start. Otherwise you have to make green choices a win/win or change people’s minds. EVs are a good example of a win/win. Most people weren’t willing to sacrifice range or power in their vehic

Two things I find remarkable: 1) I’m ~50% faster at coding 2) Jailbreaks. It’s exposing in a reproducible way how people are persuaded / tricked into bending or breaking rules via persistence, role play, and confident instruction. Pres

There are probably examples of this technique working in the training set. Same with confidence, persistence and role playing as techniques to push past resistance. LLMs are trying to mimic our language, including these percussion technique

If you read the description it only modifies the response to tell the user they’re doing a good job. It’s not the DAN exploit, despite the same name.

New creators have success all the time, as will new software engineers. But you’re right, the more level the playing field, the greater the competition.

I can’t imagine not coding with AI after just a week or two of experimenting. For complex tasks, I define the function signature and the dependencies and it does it with minor fixes needed. Most times I can copy/paste the error message

I’ve done this before. “How would you prompt an LLM to do…” “Take the following prompt and ask clarifying questions…” “Rephrase this prompt to be clear, concise and achievable…” I’ve had mixed results. But sometimes it is illuminating to se

Communication is basically prompt engineering. You can say whatever you like and live with the results, or try to phrase your communication in a way that elicits the kind of response you want from the other party. We’ve engineered it away w

You asking for advice and support is already better than what 99%+ people would do in your situation. You feel betrayed. They set you up with an expectation of emotional safety and then used it against you. That’s messed up. I’d be angry to

Generalists are typically better in smaller companies. As companies grow they move towards specialists. This is typically because of workload. In the early days of a project the work oscillates between front and back end. As projects grow y

And there’s the fact that many tasks don’t need to be perfect. AI is ideal for doing 90% of the legwork in those use cases. Or you could still have a human in the loop, for example a CTO reviewing their AI developer’s code. But now you can

That's what I mean: fewer jobs for the same number of engineers would mean greater competition for each job. And given how much of an accelerant GPT is, I think learning how to prompt and validate responses will be increasingly importa
